Forum: Arbitration Topic: mail from another member -------------------------------- pradeepgolfer: this ismail i got from another member: You seem like a very nice and fun person. However, I believe I speak for many people when I say that you post way too much, and so much of it is of poor quality. I'm beginning to wonder why you don't seem to have a social awareness of what this community is about. Please realize that this community is not about you. Please keep in mind the audience you are communicating to. We have very limited time, and we're here to learn or help others learn. Frankly, most of your posts (hundreds of them) fail to achieve a reasonable standard of excellence. And unfortunately, folks who do put in the time and effort to make good informative posts are having them drowned out by all the noise. Even your own good postings are lost in all of the chatter. Hopefully you can step back and see that. Please don't take this personally. I'm sure if we knew each other that we'd get along great. Best wishes. i would like to put this to vote and see how many members aree / diagree. i take alot of effort to post what i thuink is valuable but i can stop osting if that is what everyone wants lllusion: If you wanted people to vote you should have made this thread a poll. This is exactly what I was hinting at, but you got frustrated with me. Since you are now making a thread about it for discussion, I'll discuss what bugged me about your posts, and what was probably bugging other people. A) You "double-post" like crazy. More like triple or quadruple or quintuple, etc. Usually for almost all forums, it is etiquette to wait until someone else replies before you post another reply. Not for all threads (such as a trading journal), but if someone posts over and over again in the same open discussion thread it gets bothersome. People like variety, not the same person hogging the floor over and over. B) Your tone. Sometimes you come off as trying to sound like some kind of grizzled ancient pro-trader by saying things like, "what traders simply don't get is..." or "trader's need to understand" etc. To me you aren't some pro educator. You're just repeating lessons that you read in the books. I'm not saying you should stop posting altogether and I don't think the person who was PMing you was saying that either. He/she and I are just implying that: quality > quantity olga2009: anyone with some trading experience will realize that his posts are almost comical explaining patterns, what traders must do etc... i really dont care if he stops or keeps posting, as i dont mind a good laughlol amazinday: I 100% agree with 100% of the email. The sender of the email was very gracious in their wording.I hope it is effective.Personally, I just ignore any new posts whose author says pradeepgolfer. pradeepgolfer: ok unfotunately out of 112 views only 3 members have an opinion to voice. i am not posting for myself- i am posting for others. i am also spending a lot of effort and time doing this. since no one has come out in my favor i have no choice but to stop wasting my time... thank you for spending YOUR time and i am not an idiot to continue doing something, for which there is no benefit for anyone-not for myself and not for others. it appears that i may have benefitted the most - as i have already said-from the thread on wedges which claude started. good bye olga2009: I wish you much success in your paper trading journey and hope one day you become a million dolla trader, pradeepgolfer risktaker: olga2009 wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote") I wish you much success in your paper trading journey and hope one day you become a million dolla trader, pradeepgolfer "a million dollar trader," do you mean paper money or ...? pradeepgolfer: trading is not about money it is about understanding the market. no trader can make a lot of money because someone else has to lose a lot of money for that to become true. so wake up and stop dreaming lllusion: "so wake up and stop dreaming" That's the kind of stuff I'm talking about. Also I guess by "goodbye" you simply mean creating a different account, MMM008, and continuing with that one. You're an odd one, pradeepgolfer. pradeepgolfer: i am too busy withn my trading...i do not have time to waste here.. i even trade demo accounts because i do not have unlimited funds and i enjoy trading even if i get no reward just like many sportsmen do..not many are professional. i suggest you too do not waste your time commenting on my posts ...surely you must have better things to do. but i will help others who need it and ask for it. i do not see you doing that lllusion: pradeepgolfer wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")i am too busy withn my trading...i do not have time to waste here.. Says the guy who makes like 15+ posts a day, so many that members have blocked him and even PMed him about it, quintuple posts, has 2 accounts he posts with, etc. etc. So then sportsman-like paper trading is what you call success? As you mentioned before... pradeepgolfer wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")to get some idea, it took me 5 years to succeed in this.this is not the 'norm' because he may understand or 'get it ' earlier...but as you can see it takes a lot of commitment:it will be very difficult to learn anything, if you blowing real money and live accounts by the dozen! pradeepgolfer: illusion why are you bothered if eveyone has blocked me? martinm: pradeepgolfer wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")this ismail i got from another member: You seem like a very nice and fun person. Welcome back QED.(Putting on ignore) pradeepgolfer: it is your right to ignore as much as it is my right to post. if my posts are technically wrong then please say what is wrong so that everyone can learn. mounting continuos personal attacks like illusion is doing is not good but i am not trading insults with anyone. if not i would not have started this thread. if no one wants to see my posts it is alright but i get a lot of 'views'. and if i am doing anything wrong there are moderators to take action; and complaints should be given there and not launch personal attacks lllusion: So calling someone out for being deceitful is a personal attack? Wow, you learn something new from this fellow every day. pradeepgolfer: yes complain to the moderators...why are you wasting your time.. pradeepgolfer: illusion you put me on 'ignore' and yet you are coming on my thread and commenting : are you mad? let us ignore each other: it will not affect our lives. BPAAdmin: pradeepgolfer, I am disabling your duplicate account: MMM008. I agree with the others, you post excessively. This has been an ongoing problem and I mentioned it once before. We average 11 posts per day on the Forums. I think limiting you to 20% of the daily posts is reasonable. Please make no more than two posts per day on the general threads. If you want to start a trading journal you can post there as often as you like. Those who want to read more of your posts can find them there. BTW, martinm, there is no evidence that pradeepgolfer is QED. pradeepgolfer: thank you for settling this issue; i am interested in trading forex, not insults. you are there to enforce the policies of this forum, most of which i have no clue about. so i am quite happy, if you step in to guide me, which is the main reason I started this thread. i only continued to post 'excessively' because i saw a lot of viewership:there are traders interested in my posts, if only to laugh at it. i will start my trading journal as you so reasonably suggested. thank you for everything: lllusion: pradeepgolfer wrote (View Post): › docWrite("quote")illusion you put me on 'ignore' and yet you are coming on my thread and commenting : are you mad? let us ignore each other: it will not affect our lives. Just because I hit ignore doesn't mean I'm not affected by your actions. You bump threads and I see like 4x posts in a row that say "you have chosen to ignore this user" etc. And the threads you make still pop up in my notifications. I do usually ignore you and don't respond to your posts (usually), but when I see a thread on the topic of how you are excessively posting of course I'm going to say something like the others who are also kinda annoyed. Anyway, BPAAdmin - thank you.:) Jonald: Pradeep, I appreciate you being here but I think there is some truth to what is being said here. You overpost. If you want comment on my journal, please limit your commentary to the specific price action on the charts I'm trading. Stuff like this: "there is always an opposite point of view .:Al says there is a bear case and a bull case. if not, you would not have a trade-no one would take the opposite side. simple as that" (that was an actual post of yours on my journal) ...is just repeating what Al says...and while that may be helpful and good advice, I don't need it cluttering up journal. Thanks for understanding. I think the BPAadmin guideline is good...2 posts per thread per day, max.Try to stay on topic and don't double post.It will increase the value of your participation, which I do appreciate despite the lack of ettiquite.Thanks.
