I really like the structure and content of the chat room. Al does a great job of providing a real-time analysis of what's happening in the markets and it really helps to see his charts as he talks. Another huge plus for me is that Al is the only one talking in the chat room. I really don't want to hear other people talk during the trading day. All in all, I'm very impressed with the set-up and will be joining the subscription service when that begins.

In webinars Al always saying his plan, when there is new bar there is new plan.
Most of the plan are just keep changed into different plan whenever the new bar arrive. (at first it didn't fits me, i used to using fixed trading strategy like indicator based or single signal based)

In my mind Al method works like this:
Quote: ›
Bar(s) read -> Plan -> correct plan -> setup -> signal bar -> p/l
or
Plan -> not correct plan -> Re read Bar(s) and so forth

Bar(s) read : Al's draws trendlines, wedges, read hxlx, current bar situation is it in trending or ranging, channels, or anything that says inside the book.
Plan : Al's often says... this will does that its not good buy, if this goes that its good buy, if it does this i buy after it pull back, this is tat thing so i wait, etc.

I was given a chance to listen behind the curtain of the wizard's chamber today. As the most vocal opponent of the way access to the room was given, let me be the loudest proponent of the room itself. Once the audio issue is ironed out* it will be the most incredible learning opportunity imaginable. Until you watch him in action you cannot believe the depth of knowledge Al so graciously shares with all. It is the Crown Jewels and the Hope Diamond all in one!

Thank you Al and Ken and others, for a trial of the room. My feedback below:
- Listening Al guide is a dream come true for his followers/readers
- Al is talking just about right, not too much (could even go less if he would like)
- It was distracting when some users were asking questions during in the middle, I think the Q&A should be restricted either pre or post market only
- I think Al needs a new mike since his volume his volume is low
- No need to show other instruments since mostly everyone is trading/focused on ES, but did appreciate Al showing daily/weekly/monthly ES charts in between
- I think minimum requirement when the room is opened to everyone should be that the trader has at least read Al's book once (possibly twice) so that the newbies don't get disappointed that they are not getting hand holding. This room is for intermidiate or above traders I suppose, and for newbies who are patient and take their time to learn to trade and not start going all over the place expecting profitability from day 1 (there are plenty of entertaining rooms for trading which don’t do much good).

Overall great efforts, thank you.

Today was my second day in the trading room and i have to say that my expectations were exceeded once again. Again, my previous review may not have done this experience any justice but i will continue to participate and watch.

I appreciate that all the comments were up to speed with the market and Al discussed details about low risk entries and such...he was right on the money on several of the entries and i commend him for that.

I like how he discussed the pros and cons of the trade and what the possible implications would be.

Its also great hearing him say he "would or would not" take a certain trade. It definitely gives me more confidence before entering knowing that Al feels the same. Often i like to call a trade in my mind and wait to see if Al feels the same way...Those comments just top it off.

Thank you again for today! Have a great weekend!

The webinar today was great. We are trying to learn PA for ourselves, Al's explanations and insight is worth its weight in gold. I have always viewed the markets as random, with the explanations form Al it put some sort of order to PA. I appreciate very much Al's years of experience passed on. We get some explanations from him that saves both my time and speeds up the learning curve, hopefully.
The down side is the sound is tough to hear, or hard to understand. Not impossible, but a person really has to be paying close attention. I am looking forward to the room being opened. As the chat room has become a home with the friendships I've acquired, Al's room will add to my education. Thanks to everyone involved

I would like to thank the good folks behind the initiative for letting me attend the session yesterday and today.

Here are my views -

The overall experience was fantastic, both in terms of the setup and the content.

Al's simple chart setup makes it easy to follow along and his style of going mic silent frequently gives time to think on your own.

However, we do need to do some expectation management. Is the room going to be run like a signal calling service, an educational service or a hybrid allowing us to earn while we learn the methodlogy. The hybrid option would probably be the most desirable.

Al spends a lot of time ranking and rating setups so that is a big hlep as he paints different scenarios.

I would have liked us to stay more on ES that we did but Al does trade for a living and he needs to trade where he finds the best odds.

I am assuming there will be some kind of chat facility for the attendees to talk to each other. There probably was one available, I was too busy listening to Al.

I would suggest stopping the audio questions during the trading day unless Al wants a q&a during lunch time and then have a wrap up at the end of the day.

Thanks Again.

Harry

Bad luck: I have had very little notice that I could attend the webinar today. I had previous commitments and to my dismay I was able to listen for the first couple of hours and a bit at the end. So I can give a very limited review.
What I have heard however was very good, thorough and straight to the point. I am convinced that this is a unique opportunity to really learn from a top trader.
I will add my voice to those requesting a better audio. I would also suggest to avoid having other people asking questions directly, but to have instead the possibility to post questions to a moderator that will sift and pass them to Al when he feels right.
Overall a very positive experience and looking forward for the nest, more comprehensive lesson.
Thank you Al and the administrator

Today was my first opportunity to participate in the webinar, and it was an eye-opening learning experience. Al's observations and real-time explanations of the price action he sees bring his excellent book and other writings to life, and his straight-forward educational style is perfect for me. I'm not looking for someone to call trades for me; instead I appreciate greatly having Al teach me to be a better fisherman, as it were.

I didn't have any trouble hearing Al clearly.

As for questions, it would be nice to have a few minutes at EOD, as we did today, but the key for me is to make this experience satisfying and acceptable to Al so that he will continue to work with us. I am simply grateful for whatever guidance Al is willing to provide.

Thanks very much to everyone who has worked so hard on this.

I have spent one 1/2 day afternoon the webinar. Generally I would have to give the format a thumbs up.

Audio: Agree with other's commentary, could be improved a bit, but I could live with it.

Video/Charts: Were crystal clear and easy to read visually. Watching Al mark a chart as he goes along thoughout the market day is excellent.

Al's Market Hours Commentary: To me was not too much, not to little, just right.

Asking question when Al is trading: To me, audio wise a big HECK NO except by the head moderator for clarification purposes only (e.g. Didn't hear last comment, etc). I don't want Al's thoughts taken aside when he is calling the market. This is really what the room is about to me, to see what goes on inside the traders mind. To learn from his mind, you must let his mind flow naturally and not be interupted.

Al's "I'm done trading Q&A": This is a FANSTASTIC value add. This is the time to ask questions, when Al is done trading.

People asking questions in chat: I would really like to see what questions are being asked in chat. I could only see mine.

Queueing up questions: It would be nice to queue a chat question during the day, to be answered later, only if it doesn't interupt Al's flow.

Room's primary purpose: I know people will be paying $$$ for this service, but I have been in other pay rooms where many a time, it becomes dominated with people asking questions instead of reading and doing their homework, and the day becomes a Q&A teaching session instead of calling the market. I personally am looking for a "calling the market" style, not "ask all my questions about PA" style. This is what I liked most about my afternoon in the webinar.

Potential thought not sure if I like it or not: A separate optional audio/chat room for those in webinair to discuss in real time what al is talking about.

Al's trading room is immensely valuable to someone wanting to continue learning the methods he introduces in his book. I appreciate his relaxed style of dynamically analyzing the market. The EOD commentary is great, but there is no substitute for Al's real time analysis. If you pay attention, there is a great deal of knowledge to be gained from Al during each unique trading day. I thought the end of day questions (once Al was done trading for the day) was a nice addition. The only criticism I was going to make was the sound quality. However, that was much improved today. Oh, and the black and white charts are much easier to read than the colored bars on black background that Al briefly experimented with this morning. I am grateful to Al for pursuing this endeavor and to the admin for all his work. Thank you.

Thanks for all who're making the mechanics work for the webinar and thanks again to Al for sharing his knowledge.

My comments don't add to those that have come before so I'll just say that while I could only participate up to noon pst I found it very valuable and am looking forward to participating moving forward. Very excited actually - I got a lot out of Al's descriptions of possibilities and why those possibilities might or might not happen. Getting the insight into how a professional trader with that much experience makes decisions is very helpful. I especially found it interesting to hear when Al was NOT taking trades because too much uncertainty existed.

A couple nuts and bolts comments:

- the black and white w white background was the easiest to see.
- I'm in favor of limiting any q&a until after the market closes.
- the audio was fine for me - I would recommend to those having trouble hearing to get better speakers or to use headphones as I had no trouble whatsoever.

thanks again!

There is absolutely no way you won't become a better trader by listening to Al's chat.
I don't know if someone was asking Al ?'s or if he was answering his own ?'s . Either way that was perfect. no need for any more explanations or ?'s IMHO.

I have never used any trading rooms before but have read several books and donated enough to understand the mkts to a certain degree...Al's room definitely keeps me out of impulsive chop trades and reminds me to be patient to wait for the perfect, low risk, high probability setup.

He is definitely right about those trades where you can win alot in a certain day but be on the losing side in the long run....love his comment about keeping the winning percentage high and make less trades...definitely less stress and anxiety.

I commented on the webinar earlier but just wanted to add a few points that others have mentioned:

1) Al's audio was fine, not great, but certainly manageable.

2) I agree with what the majority here say that there should be NO QUESTIONS DURING THE TRADING DAY. Like others I found it annoying and it seemed to interfere with the smooth flow of Al's thoughts and focus. So if it all possible any general Q&A should be put off until after Al has finished trading so as not to disrupt anyone's attention.

- the screens are perfect i.e. no chance of blurring - if you had used webex or something similar, gotomeeting is a competitor pdt. These platforms are used by corporate world everyday for remote meetings and sometimes with thousands of attendees. I used such stuff regularly myself.

- Voice is via VOIP, I guess like skype or MSN. today's voice quality was better, not sure anything was changed? maybe Al has a new mic

- Sticking to the white background is fantastic!

- sometimes the screen does not refresh (not sure why)

- there's a lot of information to digest as Al goes thru the day, so you probably have to read his book or EOD for a length of time and get used to it first

- Do not expect to have clear calls on L & S points - if you follow the analysis you probably can find them yourself (so some digestion of the information)

- Q&A should be minimized. Maybe just allow typing in instead of hearing another voice. There should be a chat screen that Al can look at when it is really sideways or quiet or end of day. There is a IRC chat room on this website if people want to chat without distracting Al

- some common etiquette should be lay out I guess

- My greatest concern as Al repeated a few times, he may start a fund and hint that he may stop doing this, if that is the case hearing his analysis for these few months in what is going on and able to analyze partly on your own later on is going to be crucial. Some people may otherwise prefer short comments like EOD just for trading purposes.

In short, it is worthwhile and great!
Thanks for bringing it to us!! It's certainly a big effort!

cheers!

I am in a different time zone so I could only take in the first part of the webinar, next time I will stay up all night. Just to hear Al wondering aloud his thoughts (ranging day/trending day) were so precious to hear. Learned so much and just hope that it doesn't interfere with Al's trading in any way, so that this will be a continuing event!

Al and team at the site,

Thank you for invitation for the trading room. As many have pointed out, it was a fantastic experience and I really enjoyed it.

A few random thoughts:

1. Al's comments - some may have commented prior but it is really valuable to hear in raw format his thoughts as it happens real time as the market is unfolding. With the quiet but concentrated setting, my understanding/ thoughts are fortified with his view. I was able to pick up subtle nuance that it is hard to pick up from static medium like books and such.

As others mentioned, I agree that one needs to understand some basic lingo and should be familiar/ have been trading with his method to take benefits out of this.

Al's comments just sunk into my brain like jigsaw puzzle pieces come together.

2. Environment - It was really nice and quiet when Al is not making comments and so I could just concentrate on my own reading. Al makes comments so I can confirm and learn. What a fantastic setup it was. Kudos to creating such a setup.

3. Regarding a paid live trading room - I would be happy to pay for such service if and when available, maybe at a block of time (instead of monthly subscriptions for me).

Ultimate goal would be to incorporate and solidify my own trading style and I think this service will be be invaluable at no end.

Again thank you Al for this opportunity and for sharing your superb master skills.
And thank you for the team also!

The webinar Fri. was very helpful, it helped me understand what I read in the book much better. The sound wasn't real good. I had to turn the volume all the way up. One other negitive, when you talk adout a potentail good set up, don't try to talk us out of it. You talked me out of a winning trade that I normally would have taken. It was a good set up acording to the book. However, later in the day I was watching what I thought could have been a trade and you pointed out why it wasn't. It saved me from a loser. All in all, I liked it and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Thanks Ken

This was my first time attending the room.

First thank you to Dr. Brooks and those who facilitated the room.

This was event was superior to any other room which I have attended in the past. Having Dr. Brooks explain setups, when not to trade and other nuances of PA has help greatly reinforce the content and principles of his book. The 4 hours I was able to listen, I believe I have learned more in that 4 hours then in the last 4 months.

I hope that those parties involved do continue forward with opening this room to a subscription base of members. This room will greatly help traders accelerate their learning of PA.

While I believe having a Q&A would helpful to others, and myself I think that the Q&A should be left for after market hours, so not interfere with Dr. Brooks trading and commentary.

I do agree with other posters, that at times the volume level was difficult to hear other then this minor challenge I was 100% satisfied with my investment of time. Additionally, if and when the subscription room goes live I will most certainly become a member.

Again thank you to all those that where involved.

Thank you,
Jason

Al is a great teacher and trader. He goes through his entire thought process through each trade considering both the pros and cons - this is how you must think to win this game identifying risk and potential reward since realistically, all trades have a 50% probability of being successful for that specific opportunity. It's what your percentage is over time that counts and from what I can see Al's is very high.

I think the biggest advantage that traders can get out out of this is to learn how to think whole brained rather then being completely rigid with what they have learned in the book. To win you must be loose and disciplined. You will see Al highlight his best setups and also learn some new tricks.

Just a few examples from Friday are understanding when a trade might be fine even though the SB is not perfect, executing an order at bar close rather then 1 tick above/below. Understanding that certain instruments cover and average range during pullbacks and why it's ok to place a limit order during these.

Information like this is priceless for the new trader.

My only warning or suggestion to those who are already consistent with your own trade setups is that if you feel strong conviction in your trade and are preparing to enter an order it can be beneficial to mute your own audio just to eliminate any thought that might cause you to doubt your own trade. At the same token, listening might keep you out of a bad trade. So as a user you have to decide what is best for you.

Ultimate respect to Al and a big thanks to both him and the administrative team who have worked so hard to get us here.

Cheers,

Dave

I thought the sound was fine. But any one having trouble hearing may want to check out plantronics. I think they have the higher end headset / microphone for voip. or may be just a noise canceling headsets would help.

Big Al and team, I really enjoyed the demo room and appreciated the invitation.

Comments and suggestions:

Video was very clear but the audio was quite low. I have a high quality headset and on it's max level, I struggled to hear Al. It almost sounded hollow...as if it were a desk mic and it was too far away from Al. The narrator sounded much more clear.
I know Al tried to change the color of the cursor in TS with no luck. Maybe change the cursor to Black, in windows...I have mine configured that way and it works nicely. I didn't have a problem following the white cursor, but it's just a suggestion in case anyone found it a bit difficult.

I think the format was great. Listening to Al's thought process and reasoning about the mkt dynamic is really what this is all about and that is exactly what I got from the room. What each individual does with that info is a different story, lol.

Outside of the audio issue, which I have had before with some of the screen share programs, it was fantastic. I would definitely be interested in becoming a member.

Well done guys.

Nitz
